If you want to explore a beautiful and unique place in England, than the Lake District should be in your priority list. This is the perfect gateway for a long weekend, to unwind, hike and admire the beauty of this place.

DAY 1

Departure from London in the morning by car direction Lake District. For those not living in London, there is an option to meet at the station in Windermere.

 

Arrival in Bowness-on-Windermere just in time to enjoy lunch.

 

From there you will be able to walk in Grasmere and try their delicious Gingerbread before heading to White Moss Wood for the first walk around the 2 lakes.

 

From there you will head to your hotel and check-in.

DAY 2

After enjoying a nice breakfast at the hotel, off you go to Skelwith Bridge for the first hike. Here you will enjoy dramatic scenery.

 

After this hike and a nice little lunch, it’s time to go to Kirkstone Pass and enjoy an incredible road between 2 mountains. You will then stop at Glenridding and jump on the Ullswater steamer, a traditional Victorian steam boat that will ride across to lake Aira Force. This is a great way to see the lakes from a different angle, enjoy a hike next to a waterfall before heading back with the boat.

 

From there you will head back to the hotel.

DAY 3

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be able to enjoy one last hike and contemplate the beauty of the area. You will go to Orrest Head, hike and be able to enjoy the panorama with fantastic views.

 

After the hike, you will head back and enjoy the last lunch.

 

After lunch, it’s finally time to head back home, fully rested and energised after this incredible outdoor weekend in the stunning Lake District area.

Make sure you bring a raincoat in case the weather isn’t good. The Lake District can have all seasons in one day, so be prepared for this.

Hikes are easy but bring comfortable shoes and clothes.

The hotel has a swimming pool to relax.

This is meant to be a relaxing weekend to revitalise yourself, days will not be packed and decisions on restaurants and activities can be decided together.
